The question you need to answer for the vote on Elon Musk's compensation package at Tesla: Can you really say in good conscience that Elon Musk's output at Tesla is worth 3 times the output of all other Tesla employees combined?

So there's no "fairness" argument here. If you vote yes, it is because you are afraid Musk will leave. You are virtually being bullied into giving Musk this ridiculous package. It's your choice. You do what you want, but you should at least be honest about what's happening here.

There's one last thing about Elon Musk's compensation package that I want to say. Then, I'll shut up until the results. I swear. I want to address the notion that the package is "fair" because of all the milestones that need to be achieved. I think there's an evident fallacy
