Today, we launch our new campaign #Mission2028. Our aim is to achieve a gender equal parliament by 2028, the centenary of equal franchise. The countdown has begun, & we are calling for action to ensure women finally achieve equal representation. Read:

Now @Shazna_Muzammil talks about her experience as a councillor. 'Best part of being a councillor is getting to fight for your community.' She highlights the challenge of stereotypes about what leaders look like & the need to address those biases.

Now Ann Davies MP - 'There's a strength in our rural communities- bonds, community, pride. Rural life doesn't limit your potential it gives you skills. We need more women in Parliament who understand the rhythms of rural life. '

Now Rebecca Smith MP. Represents a constituency with a mixture of urban and rural areas. Need to make sure rural voices get heard, policy often dominated by urban areas. Advice to other women -'Be in it for the long hall. Put the work in- have a plan.'

Now @Jess4Lowestoft Some issues- rural constituencies often vast, transport issues, isolation, internet connectivity, underfunding, poverty despite some wealthy areas, VAWG often hidden issue in rural areas. Rural areas & issues need to be better represented in policy making.
