Today we marked 97 years since women won the vote on equal terms with men with a commemorative photocall of women MP. Each MP received a personalised sash by @RemakeNewport, marking their place in the history of #WomenInParliament.

We welcome the fact that the Modernisation Committee has stated that accessibility must be a priority for the House of Commons. We have argued this point through our research, from our ‘Breaking Down Barriers’ report, to our current work monitoring the number of disabled MPs.
