Not to be that guy, but nights are one of the best opportunities to learn what the job is really like, for better or worse. A great mentor of mine taught me if you want to be a doctor, you are going to work nights and weekends so as a student you better work nights and weekends.

This is really well put. Fill up your tank, build up your reserves, and most importantly enjoy yourself before starting residency. It will undoubtedly drain you.
#TipsForNewDocs: Don’t worry about studying for residency now. You have the rest of your life for that. Instead, focus on your habits. Exercise. Learn to meal prep. Travel. Stay up late w/ friends. Binge Netflix. Fill up your tank to the max, bc trust me, you will need it.

While the mean #Step1 score of DR applicants was about 240, most US MD and DO seniors match into the specialty regardless of score. If you are very worried, talk to your mentors and advisors about possible solutions. #medstudent #radiology #residency

Spread the word and always feel free to reach out! I’m sure my Med-Peds classmates will gladly help you out. The residency application process is a whirlwind no matter how you slice it and this is just another (huge) wrench in the works.

Match Day celebrations were canceled at EVMS. While I’m heartbroken to miss sharing that monumental moment with family and friends, I think about how fortunate I am to be here. We will celebrate in a different way and life will go on.
