Senator Cassidy is right The CDC director should ignore the vote of the discredited ACIP and leave the vaccine schedule for Hep B unchanged
As a liver doctor who has treated patients with hepatitis B for decades, this change to the vaccine schedule is a mistake. The hepatitis B vaccine is safe and effective. The birth dose is a recommendation, NOT a mandate. Before the birth dose was recommended, 20,000 newborns a

🧵 1/5 Based on the agenda, the ACIP today is going to be another demonstration of the HHS secretary’s relentless attack on science. I have spoken on the #hepB birth dose but wanted to make a few points about the idea of serology guided dosing of hep B vaccine.

This is a pretty good list to get us started on lowering healthcare cost
Five ideas that would lower U.S. healthcare costs immediately: 1.Repeal Certificate of Need laws. They restrict supply, block competition, and protect incumbents. 2.Lift the ban on physician ownership in hospitals. When physicians compete, costs fall and quality rises.
