Answer: A. CT shows irregular, papillary urothelial thickening in the renal pelvis, consistent with urothelial carcinoma. Unlike RCC, the kidney maintains its reniform shape. Infection can thicken urothelium, but nodularity favors malignancy; lymphoma is usually bilateral.

@RyanBPetersonMD @DekmarBuffy @JudyGadde The correct answer is A: CT is typically readily available in emergent and urgent settings. This can be obtained quickly; however, IV contrast can obscure intrcranial hemorrhage. Therefore, a CT with IV contrast is not the most appropriate examination.
