Sure, but delays also substantially decrease trust in elections. A state with a $320B+ budget should be able to handle these costs in order to ensure trust in elections!.

I've been reading Rick Perlstein's series of books on the 1960s and 1970s, and it is genuinely so odd how similar the past 15 years have been to that period.

The 2020s are shaping up to be a carbon copy of the 1970s: weird drugs, odd health and food stuff, suburbanite monogamy alternatives, New Age religious movements, rampant "personal growth" therapeutic narcissism, inflation, and now, political violence. Not a fan, personally.

This is great. Any Dem who can’t go on a three-hour podcast where they get challenged by the hosts shouldn’t be the nominee in 2028.

Deporting someone is not the same as THROWING THEM IN A FOREIGN PRISON FOREVER WITHOUT A TRIAL.

My exact thought. The Trump admin definitely can get Abrego back — they’re paying El Salvador to keep him! But will they?.

Unclear why so many media outlets are making the headline the TROs being dissolved. The Supreme Court CLEARLY says that you can't be deported under the AEA without reasonable due process. That should be the narrative -- otherwise you're playing into the Administration's hands!.

Yes, SCOTUS decision is a victory for Trump Admin in that it dissolved the injunction and said the cases can only be brought were the detention is (removing it from Judge Boasberg). But it also said deportation under AEA can't happen without reasonable notice and court hearing.
