Military documents confirm that the LA operation today was a “show of presence” intended to send a message to LA residents about the power of the federal government. After staging with armed soldiers and Border Patrol agents on horse, they packed up and left after a short walk.

The Trump admin’s policy priorities:. - More money for arresting random migrants. - Less money for fighting human trafficking.
Judge Mehta says DOJ decision to cut grants for human trafficking prevention / violence intervention were "shameful," "arbitrary" and likely to damage vulnerable communities. But he says there's nothing, legally, the court can do.
