The excessive glucose dip after an early breakfast has little to do with a mismatch in carb counting and insulin estimation, but with timing of insulin injection and failing to take into account circadian biology. It’s in our next course. https://t.co/0rPrd6hABT

Yes, it's........ AND Insulin! Insulin contributes to depression, bipolar, migraine, Alzheimer's, cancer and more in non-T1. So why people living with type 1 diabetes are asked to swill it around to chase a SYMPTOM, glucose is odd. It’s Glucose AND Insulin for the FUTURE OF T1.

Type 1 can be an isolating experience. Often no one to turn to when you can’t get it right. Many of our course attendees are so relieved to find others who experience the same. It’s a change event. https://t.co/cAiUutOlNK

It’s not ok if an insulin pump smokes when it injects for breakfast cereal”. Glucose AND insulin need to be considered in type 1 diabetes. Eat what you like and shoot to suit is not the way . Find out why on our next residential course. https://t.co/cAiUutOlNK

Incredible that the approach to type 1 diabetes hasn’t changed for a century. A hundred years of amazing science wasted on narrow thinking. Now we know the myriad ways insulin works it’s neglectful to ignore it in the chase for normal glucose. Both are toxic in suboptimal doses.

If the doctors who first used insulin visited a diabetes clinic today they would have no trouble updating. The measure of control is still glucose, insulin is still injected into the skin. ‘We’ve always done it like that’ What would shock them though would be the diet. Regressive

Reset your type 1 next year and join us on the Optimised Insulin Course. The most common question we get from our past attendees is 'Why wasn't I told this earlier. It's a great chance to immerse yourself in the latest science on type 1 diabetes. https://t.co/cAiUutNNYc

Happy World Diabetes Day to my fellow T1 in the club no one asked to join but can’t leave ever. Despite steep rises in taxpayer spend there has been either no or an increased incidence of complications. Could it be the diet?

What is a 'minor' amputation to someone about to have one? The National Diabetes Audit recognises it. Perhaps it happens in people with 'mild' diabetes. Support the PHC Starjump campaign to highlight the 25 amputations a day in UK. mostly avoidable https://t.co/XO4Cjzvhnl

Last night I saw a fellow #T1D in desperate need of a Dexcom G7 sensor in one of our Facebook groups. They were out of sensors, had hypoglycemia unawareness, and were running a closed-loop pump. This meant they were about to lose their safety net and go back to MDI for a few
