Its taken a long time, to see restoration work for ecosystem services, using natural resources become acceptable. I started studying and doing this back in the early 80โs. I worked it out that there would be small improvement in my lifetime. Keep goingโฆ. Doing a great job ๐

Last night I found out my friendโs son had killed himself. This comes in a week where a 15 year old boy also killed himself. Maybe just check in with your sons, your brothers, your friends, your uncles, your fathers, your neighbours and see how theyโre doing. ๐๐

A message Iโve promoted for many years. Along with get society out of the floodplain so they donโt have to worry or suffer losses. Together these are win win all round.

So who monitors bacteria in our rivers? Answer is-nobody!? @ChiefScienEA Its scary that 10thousand times the limit of lethal bacteria are accessible Used socially and drank daily by public. Its time to act now and @DefraGovUK take responsibility. @Feargal_Sharkey

British Medical Journal https://t.co/leZ977lWJp reports deaths caused by bacteria.I can take a guess looking at bacterial loading of rivers just where a huge source of the issue lies. With X10k the legal limit of E Coli. Iโd suggest in all our rivers @theriverstrust @ATFreshwater

We were thrilled to be informed that a population of White Clawed Crayfish were found in Calderdale yesterday. As the UKโs only native freshwater crayfish, itโs great to see them in our catchment. Thanks to the EA, YWT and CMBC for sharing these images from your survey!
