Apparently there’s a new rule in the My Way Code that’s says you don’t need to give way if the traffic is more than 100m away. And apparently this is what 100m looks like! Silly me for thinking I was 3-4 bike lengths away when he pulled out #MyWayCode #cyclelane

So Dorset safer roads & Steve Hunt (one and the same?) have been challenged by someone on FB. Apparently it’s ok to tell white lies about what the HWC states and there’s “no difference” between “must” and “should”. Mywaycode or what? 🤦

This is what happens when your mate sits the driving test for you. If drivers like this were retested regularly, these characteristics would learn or be banned and our roads would be a lot safer. #MyWayCode #MadeUpLaw.

I'm going to suggest that this cyclist was travelling in excess of the posted speed limit, racing to the scene of his own crash in order to play a victim card for SM. I'm so tired of this shit.

This morning's driver idiocy in Kingston upon Thames. Narrow miss as driver left turns across path of cyclist on London Road cycle lane. Confirms unfitness to drive by then driving off as pedestrian crosses. #MywayCode @kingstoncycling @FocusNorbiton

Another cyclist trying to normalise cyclists using the MyWayCode It’s all fun and games until this lot ignore a temporary traffic light and run head on into unexpecting drivers

An extremely dangerous and entitled cyclist ignores a road sign, almost resulting in the death of multiple people.

Ollie here has been reading the MyWayCode again. He’s a bit of a clown. Shame it won’t hold up in court when he ends up killing someone. He clearly doesn’t understand the hierarchy of road users.

@let_part @Marksteve83 @_VN5 If I’m on a rural road, a cyclist or pedestrian makes no effort to be seen a collision occurs then it is not the driver’s fault. That’s been the case on many occasions

@EatSleepCycle Not a difference. I’m hooted at, almost run off the road by maniacs. Regularly. For simply following the Highway Code. Drivers prefer the MywayCode.

@fitzy020658 @4ChordsNoNet Mate, the cyclist is still on his side of the road so the parked cars are irrelevant. If you have taken a driving test and read the Highway Code then you would know this. Remember that’s what’s in the Highway Code. Not what’s in your Mywaycode.

@EmmaLercy @BDSixsmith Is this according to the MyWayCode? There's a reason the law is so 'strict', it's dangerous to others outside of the metal box. Have you ever been at the lights, and the car in front distracted by their phone, a hoot from behind and they move off without even looking?

@benhastings10 @Sh3zz4 @MikeyCycling Shall we test out your MyWayCode theory? Name the time and place within London - you do exactly this in your car, like the example. We'll see what the outcome is, you can share the exact letter from Met along with the proof you fought the case and won. 🐔

This junction is very badly designed expecting drivers to look over their shoulder or stop and check for cyclists but this drivers behaviour is totally unacceptable.

@MacLeftie @herebehumans The cyclist should have stayed behind the driver to comply with Rule 74. If the driver failed to indicate they were turning left, the cyclist should have been prepared to slow down or stop to comply with Rule 76: "Watch out for drivers intending to turn across your path." @4ChordsNoNet @IsSaddleThereIs @MikeyCycling @ChaponaBike123 @funderboltz Most defendants request the evidence beforehand. They either go with the MyWayCode thinking they can get away with it,or they hope for you to be a no show and ‘win’ on technicalities, only to be advised by the duty solicitor that they will lose. Happened on 90% I’ve attended.
