V happy to share my work in @RJDLab @CRI_UTSW from past 2 yr! In equal collab with Tony Rodrigues, @dwendscheck, Jorge Azevedo’s lab, @warscheidlab, we have discovered PEX39, the first human peroxisomal biogenesis protein (peroxin/PEX) found in > 20 yr! https://t.co/uAhJ7fFeQM🧵

Huge work from @ScientistJoanna!! Much deserved publication. Congratulations!
We are excited to share our new work out today in @NatureCellBio uncovering a new Achilles heel of pancreatic cancer. Myc is a key driver of PDAC and predicts poor survival. Thus, we asked the question of how Myc protein levels are regulated in PDAC. 👉 https://t.co/EMqDE5hX9M 🎉

Thanks so much Levi Gadye @UCSFCancer @UCSFMedicine for this wonderful summary of our recent research!
Could a ketogenic diet be the key to fighting pancreatic cancer? @UCSFcmp researchers recently found that a cancer drug, eFT508, blocks fat metabolism. By pairing it with a fat-only diet they were able to starve tumors in mice. @RuggeroDavide

Really happy this is out! Lucky to have worked with @Yang_Haojun_01 and others on this project during my time in @RuggeroDavide’s lab.
I am very proud of the superstar postdoc @Yang_Haojun_01, who discovered how to translation control underlying fasting and ketogenic diet in health and cancer. https://t.co/Jd2hXw2Dn6
