THE WURMMASTERS OF PAL'DRISH. Book One of THE EMBERS OF WAR—Part One of THE PAL'DRISH SAGA. By LBark Franzsherbert, né Pontevedrian.
Trying to think how best to antagonize my followers and punish them for their misdeeds and I think it would be using my account to serialize a really shitty YA fantasy novel with like four posts a day.

Hate to have to keep handing it to this guy but "Oh, I've got an idea: WORLD PEACE!" and the random intercut stock footage of Bill Clinton and of soldiers firing flamethrowers are as good as anything in the original video.

Do the "vexillology" people ever notice that applying their alleged traditional principles never seems to result in a flag that resembles any other flag that has ever existed.
New Hampshire: another seal! I do like the ship, so I'd love for a design to incorporate it. Many proposals include the Old Man of the Mountain, so to commemorate him I combined two proposals to get the bottom right flag here, which I really like

@bf_crane The real tea is if the first line of a novel is like “In the year 18__ Mr. B_______, provincial vicar of the town of G_______, made a day’s journey to H______ to see to some business that had recently occupied his affairs” you know it’s going to slap.

Are they using a bespoke definition of literacy or something? I don't understand how you even get through everyday life if you actually literally can't read words, don't see how it's possible that 1 in 5 people is like that.
US literary statistics 2022/2023:.-21% of US adults illiterate.-54% of adults literacy < 6th grade.-45 mio functionally illiterate (<5th grade).-130 mio adults unable to read simple story to their children.- Only ~50% adults read > 0 books a year.

@olhaotchetche @haramcart Yeah I sometimes think this is a conclusion people jump to too quickly but in this case I really do think it's because they just hate women.

@BigBlobApe Yeah but have you considered that I imagined this benefiting someone I don't like so now it must be destroyed.

This has changed my mind on copyright because the instant something enters public domain now the immediate first thing anyone does with it is make the most Reddit horror movie of all time. Copyrights should last for 10,000 years.

If you find Shakespeare inaccessible you should just try harder.
@youdoingtoomuch @NastiaTrixie I’m a former English major, and I strongly disagree. Shakespeare is inaccessible and alienating to the vast majority of children and, frankly, to many adults. Lit teachers have a romantic attachment to it that’s deeply detrimental to the learning of contemporary students.

This sort of tumblrfied disability discourse is absurd. I don't want to speak for disabled people but I wasn't under the impression for example that paraplegics really just love not being able to walk.
I wanna talk about the disabled angels: there's so many 'in heaven they will finally be free of their wheelchair' and 'they will be made whole again in heaven' narratives around disabled people, so to see visibly disabled angels means everything, thank you @neilhimself #GoodOmens

You can check the replies and see that people are STILL mad about this video. To the naked eye it's the exact same as 80,000 other TikToks that get posted every day but apparently it was actually some sort of MKULTRA trigger for a bunch of people.
Never forget that millions of people voted for economic seppuku and massive global catastrophe because they were radicalised by a video made by an Australian skincare startup in Sydney with like 4 employees who are all girls in their 20s

@ClwnPrncCharlie The idea that the organ was renovated and then this random posse of organists came in and ruined it is also funny. They're the titulaires, they're supposed to be there!.

@BreadDryer1 @olhaotchetche @haramcart It's a very strange and not healthy reaction to hate someone based on a silly 30 second video lol.

Viva Cristo Rey! Christendom unveiled its new botafumeiro this afternoon as part of the college’s Summer Consortium event. The botafumeiro, which is the largest in the world, will be used for select liturgical celebrations throughout the year, celebrating Christ our King. 👑

All those years of maps with solid color red or blue states gave everyone a brain disease where they think there are states where basically every single person is GOP or Dem, instead of it being like 51/47. About half the people in your "red state" are libs!!.

It objectively is not. This has never been the norm, or even something I've ever heard of, either in the history of screen acting or among other Christian actors.
The secular Left (and too many conservatives) would call this "weird," but it's actually quite normal by Christian as well as historical standards.

@HolidayKirk This stuff gets posted constantly by people who have no conceivable ulterior reason to do so. It's obviously mercenary in many cases but that doesn't mean it's not real.

@HannahPosted Obviously ADHD is a real condition but there's also a Twitter version of ADHD where you happen to have a special, unique type of brain that likes doing fun things more than doing chores or going to bed.

You will not be prepared for how normal this clip sounds lmao. I thought they would at least find some hard bop or something to try to make their philistinic point. This is not even in the ballpark of atonality.
Controversial opinion: Jazz is simply failed music. It sounds like a child scribbling all over the page. Formless, meaningless, and unpleasant. Just a bunch of random noise that people trick themselves into liking, while they become numb to true musical quality in the process.

Yeah that's cool man. Quick question: what the fuck is happening at all in this picture.
AI art does not “lack soul.” ChatGPT does, but that’s because it sucks and is primitive. What comes out of MidJourney is in fact quite aesthetic and you sound like a pretentious art snob when you try to impose metaphysical concepts onto beauty. Most real human-produced art

The AI Rockwell art is some of the most unsettling and profoundly stirring art I’ve seen in a long time. Whoever did this is a genius. Intense and relentless propaganda is required to normalize the demonic characteristics of modern life. The demonic placed within the actual frame

Guys like this think Ben and Jerry's has that many calories because of Chemicals or Seed Oils or whatever instead of because it's an entire pint of cream and sugar.
So let me get this straight???. The guy who sells an 1100 calorie pint of ice cream that cost like $7 is mad at the guy trying to make our food healthy…. Got it. Just checking

Can anyone explain this in a way that actually makes sense. Is it just that Brits aren't used to hotter weather or is there actually something different about the climate or construction there that makes 79°F even worth mentioning let alone dangerous.
Americans explaining to Brits how 26 °C (79 °F) isn’t hot while living in air conditioned detached houses made of wood.

@bf_crane Looking back it was such a cynical way to press the reset button. Oh no we're not gonna do Rebels vs Empire again but uhh oh here's this group that was "inspired by" the Empire and looks and acts exactly the same and here's the Reb—uh, Re. Resistance, that's it.

Dale Cooper was able to enter the shadow realm where evil dwells in pursuit of his love, but his lack of perfect courage led to defeat by his own doppelgänger and subsequent imprisonment in the shadow realm for 25 years. This was considered normal in the 90s when the show began.
George Costanza was able to pull an endless sequence of stunningly beautiful women for casual sex while being short and bald, dressing like shit, and living with his parents. This was considered normal in the 90s when the show began.

Treating a novel like a code that has to be deciphered to get at the real content, i.e. the "themes," is already taking the wrong approach before you've even started so it's no wonder that they aren't enjoyable to you.
Most so-called “great novels” are absolute snoozers. And a large chunk of them, especially those written in the 20th Century, aren't worth the time you spend deciphering theme, motif, symbolism, etc because once you do, you find they're just another paean to dissoluteness.

More importantly than either of these, paganism is a dead letter. The age when it was possible to actually be a pagan has passed and it will never come again. You might say or even think you believe in paganism but you don't. Truly the great god Pan is dead.
I hate how horror movies have convinced people that paganism is some dark and evil thing, instead of a beautiful set of religions that honor nature, your ancestors, and the gods.
