Let’s write that headline more clearly: “A medical examiner concluded that ICE has *STRANGLED* a detainee to death.” And ruled it a homicide.
Breaking news: An employee of El Paso County’s Office of the Medical Examiner said it is likely to classify the death of Geraldo Lunas Campos at an ICE detention center as a homicide. A detainee says he witnessed Campos being choked to death by guards.

Oh neat, 80 km away, ION LRT in Waterloo has had gas heaters since it opened in 2019 Might be worth a field trip for the Metrolinx folks since we’re right here?
No firm answers from public transit officials on when the Finch West LRT switching issues will be repaired for good. But, on the plus side, the Finch W lessons will be applied to the Eglinton LRT when it finally opens this year. #onpoli

Most important non-presidential race of 2024: Pennsylvania Senate. David McCormick has been a reliable vote for Trump's agenda, never in doubt. Cast decisive votes to pass "big beautiful bill," confirm Pete Hegseth and now kill the measure to limit Trump's war powers. All 51-50.

NEW: There has been some confusion about the Ford government's rather zealous in-office mandate. This morning, some civil servants were told to head into work or take a vacation day, even as OPP urged people to avoid non-essential travel. #Onpoli

Daylighting is engineering jargon for being able to see who's at or approaching corners. Daylighting means you can't park illegally at the corners. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

The first numbers are in. Over 1 million fewer people have signed up for insurance on the ACA than at this time last year. This is Trump's premium hikes at work. In the wealthiest nation on earth, millions are being forced to go without health care. It's a moral tragedy.

Smaller class sizes contribute to better learning. The TDSB’s provincially-appointed supervisor has rescinded a directive by the trustees that capped grades 4 to 8 at a maximum of 32 students. I’m calling on Queen’s Park to reverse this decision and support our kids’ education.
