Thank you, Canada for making Trainwreck: Mayor of Mayhem #1 on Netflix. In the age of Donald Trump and dishonest populism, the story of Rob Ford was sadly a precursor of things to come.

The Ontario Science Centre property at 770 Don Mills Rd doesn’t belong to Doug Ford. It belongs to the TRCA and the City of Toronto. I’m asking council to ensure that this architectural masterpiece be kept in a state of good repair so it can one day serve the public again.

With billions of tax dollars spent, years of delays and businesses and communities impacted by construction, new Rapid Transit lines must be able to move faster than the buses they’ve replaced.

I’m advocating for the Finch and Eglinton lines, and transit across our city, to have full signal priority. This will help get people moving, decrease traffic congestion and provide a “better way” that’s faster and more reliable to get around Toronto. Let’s get this done.

Along with the Finch and Eglinton lines, I’m calling for the 2026 budget to support full signal priority city-wide. To be the “Better Way”, Toronto transit needs to be fast and reliable.
It’s wrong that the Finch & Eglinton LRTs don’t have signal priority. Billions of dollars were spent, only for “rapid transit” to go slower than the buses it replaced. Last Spring at Council, I moved for signal priority on these lines. The 2026 budget must fund this priority.

A mezuzah is a symbol of faith and Jewish identity that is affixed to the doorposts in Jewish homes. There is absolutely no excuse for this cruel act of hate and intimidation. I stand with Councillor @PasternakTO, his community and support efforts by the police to apprehend the
All of the mezuzas at 6250 Bathurst Street (TSHC) have been torn off. We have spoken with the rabbi and connected the building with 32 Division. This is an act of hate directed at Jewish residents — seniors who deserve safety, stability, and dignity in their own homes. There is

As the Finch LRT opens, there’s a few questions that I’d like answered. Who chose this Sunday as the opening date and will the test results demonstrating that it’s safe and functional be shared with the public? Will the reasons for the delays be shared with the public? And after

It’s great that the Finch LRT is finally opening. I just wouldn’t have invited the Grim Reaper to hold the plaque at the launch event.

My letter to the Toronto Police Services Board, in collaboration with Sarah Flogen, the Executive Director of the Canadian Federation of Mental Health Nurses, regarding the proposed end to the Mobile Crisis Intervention Team program (MCIT).
We need to ensure that mental health crises are addressed effectively & safely. The Mobile Crisis Intervention Teams are a critical tool to keep people safe. I'll be working closely with healthcare professionals & police to defend the program from closure.

Let’s retrofit gray spaces under buildings including surplus parking, or disused locker rooms for social enterprise, including growing produce & support local food systems rather than rely on trucks from California. Take a look at what Future Fresh Farms is doing here in Midtown!

Those involved in mobile crisis intervention teams told the Star they were not consulted about the possible program end in 2026.

Today, a city worker was tragically killed while serving Torontonians. My love and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. They deserve our support to ensure that nothing like this can ever happen again.

Together, TTC workers & I are demanding answers about the safety of the Eglinton LRT and calling on the province for a public inquiry into the years of delays, mismanagement, cost overruns, and impacts on communities and businesses to ensure the same mistakes are never repeated.

Councillor @JoshMatlow accuses Ford government and @Metrolinx of being secretive about safety concerns with Eglinton Crosstown LRT, saying it's not how a public agency should be run. He has a point. #TOpoli @fordnation

"I'll believe it when I see it," Toronto City Councillor @JoshMatlow tells @MooreintheAM, as the province declares testing of the beleaguered Eglinton Crosstown complete. Matlow is calling for more transparency from Metrolinx around the still unannounced opening date.
