Thank you, Canada for making Trainwreck: Mayor of Mayhem #1 on Netflix. In the age of Donald Trump and dishonest populism, the story of Rob Ford was sadly a precursor of things to come.

Together, we fought for color-coded Rentsafe signs, and real enforcement action, for rental apartment buildings in Toronto to hold both city hall and large landlords to account. And we finally won! Tenants deserve to know their home is going to be healthy and safe.

Working together to open Old City Hall’s door to the public again, bring it back to life, and repurpose this historic landmark in many creative ways including a Museum of Toronto.

Doug Ford is removing an effective tool he gave municipalities to prevent deaths on our streets. I agree it needs to be used fairly, and only drivers going at excessive speeds should be fined. But we need a Premier who will fix problems, rather than just make stuff up & give up.
To the mayors asking the government to continue to allow cash grab speed cameras in Ontario, I have been absolutely clear: The answer is no.

We stand with our city’s Jewish community to commemorate the horrific October 7th massacre. We remember the innocent lives lost and the hostages who need to come home to their loved ones now. We must take a united stand against anti-Jewish hate. And together, we pray for peace.

You work hard for every dollar you earn. You pay your taxes, but expect they’ll go toward the services & infrastructure we all rely on every day. And then you find out your money’s gone into Doug Ford’s slush fund to hand out to his friends. This corrupt government has to go.

I want Toronto’s parks to have fewer restrictions, and more fun and delicious food options!
Imanishi Sando Bar and McCormick Park cafe are amazing, but would not be allowed to exist in most of Toronto. Our parks deserve great independent businesses within them. Our imagination of what can be included in our park space needs to be expanded!

I’m really grateful to the officers from 53 Division and Sobeys (at Balliol & Yonge) who are hosting a Cram-a-Cruiser food drive today. Thanks to the students at Davisville PS who did such a beautiful job on the artwork! This is a great community effort that deserves our support.

Doug Ford is gaslighting you. If you’re trying to obey the law in Toronto and driving by a speed camera up to 10km over, you won’t be fined. This tool should be used to catch people driving near schools at excessive speeds, recklessly endangering our kids. https://t.co/S9kwh42uhs

…complicating matters is that Canada Post requires the boxes to be on concrete slabs & at least 9 metres from an intersection. It will be particularly challenging to even find enough possible locations in dense, older parts of the city. Importantly, the federal government…
