Author of Scaling People. Work @stripe. Board member, mom, wife and busy friend. Never enough time to read all on my list. Pretend to garden. Roughly that!

Still can't quite believe this is happening. And it's thanks to the many people I have worked with and learned from, more than any of you know. And the folks I interviewed and excerpted who generously shared wisdom. This book was not a 1 person project - thank you is not enough.
Scaling People: Tactics for Management and Company Building by @chughesjohnson is a practical guide to building a company’s operating systems and scaling the most important resource a company has: its people. Available for preorder now: 📈

Not a fan of self-promotion, but this feels like good company 😊. And a huge thank you to @lennysan for hosting me on the very first podcast I recorded when #scalingpeople was published.

Yes! @jeff_weinstein has appetite and energy for customer feedback and requests like no other person I've worked with.
One of the things I learned in my time at Stripe was that you should care deeply about customer feedback. @jeff_weinstein takes that seriously (even when I corner him at events with my Stripe feedback today). This is a great interview covering how he's operationalized that.

This is powerful reframing and I'm here for it.
@samatlounge 100 percent correct. My very first review- I think I was 27 years old- was a full page in The NY Times. The first line of the review began “This is a bad book.” 28 years later I still laugh when I think about it. The key is to remind yourself- hey, people are reading my book!.
