Consultant radiographers seem capable of doing anything and everything, other than putting a conclusion on a scan.
Thank you, James. These posts are invaluable when discussing non-medically trained staff substituting highly trained Doctors in @NHSuk. Let me give you an example of how this applies to Radiographers, a fellow AHP.

@Parody_RCGP If one doesn’t need a medical degree and PG training with expensive exams etc to practise medicine today then the colleges are completely redundant.

Come work in the NHS as a doctor: ✅ Accrue £100k debt ✅ Be paid £18/hr, £10k less than the assistant ✅ Have a 50% chance of being unemployed after two years @NHSE_WTE

A third of resident doctors are facing unemployment next month. We’re bringing the issue of insufficient training places and job insecurity into our ongoing #PayRestoration dispute with the Government. Read our statement in full:

There’s a scandal unfolding in the NHS. Thousands of doctors are being locked out of training jobs; left unemployed, unable to become GPs or consultants. All while patients wait months for care. @wesstreeting knows this. So why is he refusing to act? https://t.co/lTtmhcyrez

🔴Side A: The total number of Physician Associate or Assistant jobs available on NHS Jobs -at the moment- is Zero Locally trained PAs have no jobs to go to And we have an open market for Kenya to come and compete 🔵Side B: Locally trained Doctors don't have jobs Thus, IMGs are
Clinical Officers in Kenya win big as the UK opens the door for Kenya’s clinical officers to practice as physician assistants. A step in the right direction.

Kemi Badenoch earns £96,000 a year as an MP. She lives with her multimillionaire banker husband in Wimbledon. Kemi claims £36,400 a year for rent & council tax for a second home in Essex. Kemi doesn’t believe that junior doctors are worth £22 an hour.

Let us not forget that @RCPhysicians fully participated in the Dr replacement agenda @DacreJane priority appears to have been the @RCPhysicians bank balance rather than high medical standards The lazy RCP let PAs set the PANE examine OSCEs with ‘RCP ‘ branding Disgraceful

If we didn't have all these unqualified Physician Assistants getting paid more than a qualified doctor, our actual doctors could be paid what they deserve! Physician Assistants are a con & a risk to patients' lives. End PAs & pay our doctors what they're really worth instead!🤨😡
Doctors' assistants are earning almost 47% more than a fully qualified doctor in London. Even with full pay restoration, doctors would still be earning less than their assistants. Paying doctors £22.67/hr would still be a bargain for this country.

The ball is in your court, and the more you misrepresent the truth or try to evade it, the more damage you do before you have to inevitably find a solution to this mess 10/10

Shush @BerkayUlkerPA There is no need for PAs and PAAs, there never was. If we replaced every one of you with a real doctor the NHS would be a safer place . You welcomed the @lengreview last week and @wesstreeting has implemented its findings EMBRACE IT !

Except when things go wrong private health providers dial 999 and send you to your nearest emergency department (A&E) in an ambulance Private healthcare in the UK is subsidised by the NHS When things go wrong or are too complicated they’re not equipped to handle it, because
The average cost of private medical care in the U.K. is £79.59. How much do people spend on Sky, Netflix, Spotify etc…? Most people can afford private medical and should take it out. Brilliant service, privately run and fast access and delivery.
