The red wave hit this year: a ~6% national swing to Trump, from 2020 margins. In Wisconsin, thousands of heroes pulled the swing down to 1.5%. More D votes statewide & in 46 counties. Tammy Baldwin won. Huge wins in the state legislature. Deeply grateful to all—it mattered. 🧵

Spotted in Jack London Square at the 44 Harrison St “Market Hall” building. The space has been vacant for 10 years w many proposals, none of which have panned out. So it’ll be interesting to see if Dave & Buster’s has legs, especially so close to Plank.

Incredibly messed up that @GavinNewsom is letting Chevron, SoCal Gas and other hydrogen lobbyists pick the state’s rail rocking stock based on what’s good for their ARCHES hydrogen hub instead of what makes sense for rail riders and operators.
Capitol Corridor is evaluating use of hydrogen on the corridor due to state intervention, overruling the 2016 vision plan which called for electrification, 15 minute peak service, and 150 mph speeds (which hydrogen is not suited for). Riders deserve better!

You can upzone and remove parking near a NIMBY all you want, but nothing makes them angrier than taking away their power to make 100 of their neighbors sit still and listen to them scream for three minutes.
