James Franklin found out at 1:30 he was fired, 15 minutes before the team meeting. “Really took the next 15 minutes to let my kids know so they wouldn't find out on the internet, and then walked down and had a super emotional meeting with the team to tell them I was leaving.”

It is absolutely wild to me how little coverage the ongoing government shutdown is getting. A local friend was going to head to the zoo, unaware it’s closed indefinitely. If Republicans were responsible, it would be wall to wall coverage.
