The Supreme Court judgement was not about ‘trans rights’ it clarified that sex meant biological sex & as a consequence it secured the rights of women, lesbians & gay men. The rights of ‘trans people were already secured under the Gender Recognition Act

Like many women, I left my trade union when they started to put men first, and decided that men can magically become women and use our safe and dignified spaces. So this is a great step - a union I could feel proud of. The 'old' unions are lost.

We were very pleased to see @tracygilbert72 at FiLiA, she is the only one of Labour’s Lesbian MPs who speaks up the Equality Act’s protected characteristic of sexual orientation & lesbians in particular. The Labour Gov. supports the SC judgment & Tracy is holding them to account.
Despite the misleading literature being distributed by protesters, it’s great to attend FiLiA and to listen to women speak of their experiences, amongst other things, on violence against women and girls and commercial sexual exploitation. Together we rise. #FiLiA2025
