I think it’s perfectly reasonable for a young teen to not want to have their bra fitted by a man actually. Bizarre that we are even having to say this.

“Americans have a terrible, over-used prison system and don’t care what happens inside them, so only really terrible insincere people in the UK would talk about what’s happening to women prisoners” at least emits a new scraping sound from the bottom of the barrel.
The average female prisoner (there aren’t many) is a genuinely godawful person. Almost nobody knows one so there’s little reason to care about this unless you were a radical feminist in 2018 with an editor who didn’t like populism or the SNP and had to fill pages.

A mother is being badgered by a bloke who thinks she has no right to object to her daughter being approached by another man at the bra rack, because they were all fully dressed. Hell mend everyone who got us to the point she is dealing with this.

True - but then we were but poor benighted souls who had not yet been taught the true meaning of joy by the Edinburgh International Book Festival.
When I was at school we were taught to be aware of strangers, especially men. Back then no one would have defended a man who was pretending to be a woman creeping around girls in a lingerie dept.
