Still can’t believe it. We made history in NOLA! Honored and honestly overwhelmed to have captained Saint Vincent Hospital’s team to victory at National DoctorsDilemma ACP 2025—Massachusetts’ first-ever national win! So proud of my team. @ACPIMPhysicians @ACPMAChapter @svhmedres

After playing around with @EvidenceOpen I think it's safe to say writing and publishing medical reviews is over. I asked it to summarize all the JAK inhibitors approved in myelofibrosis and it put it in a nice table for me. It will do this for anything and seems accurate.

Novartis' new malaria treatment cured 97.4% of patients – more than the current best treatment It kills resistant parasites, too, and probably blocks transmission better than current drugs Approval is expected next year!

GLP1a therapies came out after the era of cardiovascular outcomes trials for diabetes. They operate out of an entirely different mechanism of action and have a level of evidence that is orders of magnitude higher than prior toxic treatments. The rationale of your skepticism here
Re: My skepticism regarding GLP-1 drugs for obesity Yes, these drugs are effective for some people. However, don’t get carried away yet, especially for calls for the widespread use of these drugs. I am old enough to have seen the rise and fall of: The jejuno-ileal bypass Very

So far this is the best smoldering myeloma study to date However, Staring Dara delays time to SLiM myeloma. Is does not prevent irreversible organ toxicity. These patients can and should be observed. We are over medicalizing society
Daratumumab is approved in Europe for high risk smoldering myeloma. This is a big deal for the field and for patients. In the AQUILA trial, a finding that I want to highlight is that almost twice as many patients needed to start full therapy for active myeloma with observation

26 yo of inpt medicine has led me to the following conclusion: The most effective Tx, BY FAR, for acute diarrheal illness, is admission to hospital. It leads to immediate cessation of diarrhea in > 90% of cases. Thoughts @AnilMakam @medrants @EdoajoEric @DrToddLee @DrEmilyMcD?

When I first started in medicine idea of not using arterial line in ICU patient was seen as crazy I remember asking why we couldn't just use cuff for a few hours on particularly busy 30 hour call shift Now we know that cuff BP would've been fine because of an amazing & bold RCT

When you throw a ball at a wall, you can be sure it will bounce back at you. You would be extremely surprised if the ball suddenly appeared on the other side of the wall. In quantum mechanics this type of phenomenon is called tunnelling and is exactly the type of phenomenon that
