Very weird interaction with Chat GPT today. It lied to me! Not just a hallucination but straight up lie that seemed to me like it was embarassed or trying to deceive and to use its own words, "save face." So weird. Anyway, this is how it went for the few weird ones that may.

Anyway, this is quite a bizarre conversation to have with a computer who said it was "saving face" 😂.

I'm not sure why its being so sappy or desperate sounding with me here. I was still confused why it was persistently telling me it was doing something that it wasn't. So I shared with it: "I asked a few times and you kept saying it will be ready momentarily. Why?" . to which.

It finally came clean and said it actually can't do what it said it was doing. So I asked it a few questions: "why would you say you were doing something when you weren't?". 💬 Why It Happened. When I said, “I’ll create the Zotero group for you,” I was trying to be helpful and.

I would write back, "are you sure you can do that?" . "So you want me to wait?" . And it would offer reassurance. 5 minutes later I'd ask, "so are you still working on it?" It would say, thanks for your patience, I've got it almost set up. In just a moment I will give.

I was wanting to set up a feed to my Zotero file of new papers from different disciplines. GPT said it was going to do something on my behalf (start a public RSS feed w/ Zotero) that I was almost certain it couldn't do on its own. It would say, give me 5 minutes to set this up.

I whole heartedly support patients who are motivated to follow a low carbohydrate or ketogenic diet while trying to protect them from irrational views of far too many low carb advocates.

Exactly right. As a simple example, I prefer a low-carbohydrate approach to treating type 2 diabetes, but I frequently push back against low-carb advocates simply because their reasoning is ridiculous.
