MYTH: We don't have a solution to nuclear's "waste problem" REALITY: Nuclear waste isn't a problem. In fact, it’s the best solution we have to meeting our energy needs while protecting the natural environment! Here's what you need to know:

A terrible day. Roe was a weak mechanism to protect individual autonomy. Pass a federal law.

My friend is putting together a program to bring together a "top-notch" chef & a marine conservation scientist to co-lead a sustainable seafood cooking demo w/a follow-on talk about ocean conservation. Any of you marine conservation scientists interested? You will be paid.

This is disgusting. Bibi created this crisis because he was days away from losing power. Everyone in Israel knows this. Bibi is committing war crimes. And President Biden is cheering him on. Unconscionable.

Today the President spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, reaffirmed his strong support for Israel’s right to defend itself against rocket attacks from Hamas and other terrorist groups in Gaza, and condemned these indiscriminate attacks against Israel.

Being a PI seems extremely taxing. Some parts seem great like the science, teaching and mentorship. But the time investment seems all-encompassing. Is it possible to be the PI I would want to be, without so much personal sacrifice, or is it better to do something else?

As a Jewish constituent, I am so profoundly grateful to our @RepPressley for these words of solidarity with the people of Palestine, who are facing unending state violence, funded & supported by our own government.

We can't stand idly by when the United States government sends $3.8 billion of military aid to Israel that is used to demolish Palestinian homes, imprison Palestinian children and displace Palestinian families. Our government should not fund state violence in any form, anywhere.

Chauvin is the 7th on-duty cop to be convicted of murder since 2005, out of around 15,000 police killings in that time.

The violence committed by Chauvin is the product of an uncaring and racist system. What he did was just slightly break the rule of suppression that was intended. Justice is too rare so this is a good outcome. But we are being terrorized. Invest in the people, defund the police.

How do animals avoid getting lost when exploring an environment in complete darkness? By combining computational modeling and experiments in a specialized arena, we found that fruit flies perform local search by carefully measuring how far they walk.

The ability to keep track of one ’ s location in space is a critical behavior for animals navigating to and from a salient location, but its computational basis remains unknown. Here, we tracked...
