They can be referred to symptomatic breast clinics, if necessary, by their GP and then have a full range of investigations - mammography, ultrasound, biopsy - to diagnose breast cancer and other breast conditions.

Actually, as a radiographer, I can assure you that our assistant practitioners have their scope decided, & supervised by radiographers.
I would suggest that as doctors are the experts in medicine, they are ideally placed to supervise and define the role of their assistants.

Point 2. You don’t need this kind of immobilisation device xraying babies, you do need a skilful radiographer, adequate time and ideally sensible parents.

For those that don’t already know, this is why you’re sometimes asked to take metallic things off if you’re having an X-ray, because it’s a common misunderstanding that “it affects the machine” or it’s dangerous.
