Your most impressive skill is that you are a manager. The notion of going on strike must be incomprehensible to someone who moves numbers around on a spreadsheet lining up someone else’s pocket with more money.

Nice restaurant!. Looks like you’re doing OK on your doctor salary, or is someone else paying?.

Interesting. Perhaps @wesstreeting has caught on, and realised he can very well crack the already large schism between UK and IMGs into a full blown partition by focusing on non-pay issues. It would pass too, is my prediction. The time for IMGs looks over, under this gov.

You just know when these types go to the GP this whole personality fades away, they tuck their little hands into their coat pockets, look at the floor instead of making eye contact and speak is a raspy voice like the good little boys they know they have to be to get cared for….

@NicJenkins6 Aye. The greedy bastards fail to mention their gold plated 20%++pension plan. And the shift bonuses. And that their contracts allow for private practice down the road. And that, before age 30, many are on 70-80k gross. And and and…. Greedheads, mate.

so when someone develops a raging HAP or goes into acute pulmonary oedema or has a lung clot do you think they wait till the morning ward round to start treatment 🤡.

@TomStocks1982 @gmcuk Actually they do. You're misrepresenting the truth about that just as the BMA do salaries. FY1 aren't qualified to prescribe. Treatment regimens are decided in ward rounds or supervision, certainly not by you. Foundation doctors spend only four months per specialty. They know zip.

If they’re not replacing doctors why would their presence make things better? . Though consultants having to sign-off their nonsense requests for once would be quite enjoyable to watch, I must admit.

@wesstreeting If only there was a group of medical professionals that hadnt been mercilessly bullied from the NHS to make the strikes hurt more who could help maintain safety alongside consultants whilst strike action takes place so that this animosity/risk doesnt have to occur and talks can.

Exceptional enough to be ?the only other NHS profession to be on an entirely different pay scale and system? . Medicine is uniquely different to other professions, both in its challenges and also demands. Sorry, but not sorry.
@ClinOncDoc @wesstreeting Those ‘boomer’ doctors have children and grandchildren. They understand the position. They just don’t agree that doctors are such an exceptional case that they merit different treatment from the rest of the NHS.
