Do this and all you achieve is to remove the little voice you have. UKGP is going to happen regardless. Having a mandate is the only thing allowing the BMA to have some control in the other discussions around this matter.

There is now a generation of doctors who refuse to be gaslit By anyone. The lack of spine amongst many doctors has always bothered me This generation gives me hope.

Sadly looks like @JoshFG never got around to replying. That’s ok, he probably clocked out for the day. You know, given that MPs don’t work after 5pm…unlike the doctors he’s criticising…
Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS FT revealed physician assistants not just making prescriptions illegally but also making prescriptions for controlled class A substances. What action did you take about this Josh? Or is patient safety the sole responsibility of doctors?

The resident docs strike will be a major headache for many HSJ readers to cope with. Not surprising that some are critical of it going ahead but I'm struck that many seem to understand that it is far, far more than headline pay at issue here. 1/n

The resident doctors strike is set to go ahead from Wednesday, after they rejected the government's latest offer, the British Medical Association said on Monday.

The BMA booking expensive replacement locums? What on earth are you waffling on about you silly moron.
Disgracefully the BMA is pressurising & bullying non union doctors, who want to work, to go on strike. They have even pre booked expensive replacement Locum doctors for doctors who plan to work

The BMA is made up of everyday doctors, of whom 29,215 (83%) voted against this deal. This isn’t a 52/48 Brexit style vote. This is a condemnation of a poor deal that was not acceptable.
Streeting says doctors strikes are 'irresponsible and dangerous' after the BMA voted to go ahead with industrial action The health secretary said the strike poses a 'serious risk to the NHS this week' as hospitals battle surging 'superflu' cases

Oh shit! Looks like RCPsych have accidentally suggested a potential mechanism for UKGP. With UKGs getting first dibs via completion of UKFP and the remaining seats being opened to IMGs with significant experience, this may be one way to satisfy both UKGs and IMGs.

IMO @wesstreeting has no idea how badly he’s bottled it. Better off not presenting that offer at all. I anticipate the upcoming mandate to have an even greater strength. Every generation of UKGs is becoming more militant as we stare down the gun of employment, Mr Streeting.
🚨 NEW: Wes Streeting says the BMA has “chosen Christmas strikes to inflict damage on the NHS at the moment of maximum danger" after the rejected the Government’s latest offer Resident Doctors will strike between the 17 and 22 December

I have been first on scene for a cardiac arrest twice. Both as an FY1, one which I put out. So yes.
@DoctorsVoteUK @wesstreeting So are we saying an FY1 is first on scene with the crash team?

TFW you post “ignore the noise” but you are the noise. Is there really any point in posting overly magnified 5 minute candles?
BREAKING: Oracle stock, $ORCL, rebounds as the company says there have been "no delays" required to meet their contractual commitments. The market is highly on edge, waiting for just about any headline to call AI a "bubble." Ignore the noise.

If you’re a resident doctor, make sure you vote on the offer. Regard it is a professional responsibility whichever way you are voting.
