Today I put a veg on the self check out in Lidl. I knew that it is a zucchini in German, but really couldn't think of the English word. I had to call the self checkout supervisor: "Excuse me, what is this in English?" "Courgette." "Of course, ta." #oldlady me 🙄

Mum news: they'll have another go with a home help company that previously had sent a woman who came to drink coffee. The grilled chicken from the supermarket was so good that she phoned them to tell them. She will argue a very logical point with the health insurance company. 3/n
