#OnThisDay in 1814, the British forces began bombarding #FortMcHenry, in Baltimore. #DYK from 1836 to 1839 USACE repaired & renovated Fort McHenry? Over the next 90 years, it served various military functions—infantry garrison, prisoner of war camp, training facility & hospital.
