Good news: In the first half of 2025, Baltimore had the fewest homicides ever recorded – 62% decrease compared to this time three years ago. The success we’re seeing here isn’t a coincidence, and it’s not limited to Baltimore. But we can’t rest. In every community, we must

On this Independence Day, the federal government is telling the people of this country that you’re on your own. But here in Maryland, we’re moving differently.

This so-called ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ marks a direct and heartless assault on the American people. Neither Maryland nor any other state across the country has the resources to fill the massive hole that the federal government created today in our social safety net. My full

This is one of the worst bills for working families our country has ever seen. President Trump’s plan would slash Medicaid and SNAP, jeopardizing health care access for 196,000 Marylanders and threatening food assistance for more than 684,000 Marylanders. It would make energy

In the first half of 2025, Baltimore had the fewest homicides ever recorded. Compared to this time in 2022, we’ve seen a 62% decrease. This historic drop is not a coincidence – it is the result of our all-of-the-above strategy to partner with Baltimore City to both hold.

Baltimore ended the first half of 2022 with 179 homicides, the worst first half of a year on record (since 1970). Baltimore just ended the first half of 2025 with 68 homicides, which is the fewest on record. That’s a 62 percent drop from 2022-2025.

While Congress debates a bill that would increase energy costs for Marylanders, we set up a fund to provide relief for customers in our state as soon as this month.

On my first day in office, I made it clear: Maryland wouldn’t stand by as the racial wealth gap grew wider. In just the last month alone, we’ve taken real action by helping entrepreneurs of color access the capital they need to grow their businesses, kicking off a program to.

As the son of an immigrant, single mom and as someone whose family has benefited from birthright citizenship, this issue is personal to me. But that alone doesn’t explain my frustration with this ruling. Birthright citizenship has long been a core part of our constitutional.
