You don’t need to be “working” to have the right to food. Our elders, our children and folks who are disabled and unable to “work”, all deserve to be fed. Being deemed a productive person under capitalism will not assure you are sheltered, fed and safe. Challenge that always.

Writing is the only job where you can work for eight hours, delete everything you wrote, and feel like you're finally getting somewhere.

The fact that it’s 2025, and disabled people that can’t use stairs would still be stuck in a burning building haunts me. We deserve safe ways to escape danger when elevators aren’t available.

If you see someone wearing a mask and your reaction is "why are they still doing that?" — It's because they're following the science, and you're not. You're following a social norm created by the corporate takeover of public health, and they're not. No need to further wonder!

It’s so heartbreaking seeing the Caribbean region continuously have to rebuild every time a natural disaster happens

Tourism and people’s entitlement to Caribbean countries is sickening. It’s like they forget these are people’s HOMES and not just a holiday destination

Need you all to also understand that the vaccines reduce severity of acute infection, which is great for people who contract COVID and great for helping to keep hospitals from becoming overwhelmed again, which puts all sorts of people at risk.

Need you all to understand that the COVID vaccines do not prevent you from getting COVID or from giving it to others. They do not prevent you from getting Long COVID, either. You need to take a multi-layer approach to protect yourself and those around you.

The warmth in the ocean, which has caused the category 5 hurricane is as a result of climate change. And the Caribbean on a whole has a very small carbon footprint compared to some places in the world... so yes, very big climate injustice :(.

It actually is 100% the government's job to make sure you are housed and fed. It is in society's best interest you are stable, educated, and healthy.

it’s why hygienic reasons matter re washing your hands, covering your mouth when coughing, masking when sick is so important as a community means. we only can protect each other as much as we can as a community than an individualized approach.

like chest infections hit harder and anything related lasts longer, instead of being sick a short period depending on what it is re a cold, it stretches longer for me and takes longer to be done with its effects fully.

still thinking about this as it shouldn’t be normalized. i caught pneumonia several times as a child cause other kids wouldn’t be kept home when sick. the consequence i still struggle with is that it severely affected my immune system, developed medically induced asthma, etc.
There’s a whole lot of pneumonia normalizing going down in the mommy group. ‘My kids have it three times a year! Totally normal 🥰’ ‘My doctor says it’s viral-induced pneumonia and kids are sick 10-12 times a year. Not to worry! Their immune system will get better. ❤️🩹’ NO.

A huge factor in the collapse of our collective mental health is the decline in reading for pleasure. Reading lessens loneliness, builds community, sharpens the intellect. It brings joy. You will be shocked at how much better you feel if you begin to read regularly.

“Why are we getting historically bad hurricanes, heat waves, and cold snaps almost every single year?” “Why are so many people broke even though they work themselves to the bone?” “Why are brain fog and fatigue becoming so common?” Climate change, capitalism, and Covid:
