The woman on the left helped to disable 5 million American children and helped to create the largest cohort of child amputees in history. The woman on the right had slaves and helped to revive the Libyan slave trade.
It was never about them or their supreme qualifications, it was about misogyny, racism, hate and fascism.

A lot of people did just that. And then a lot of them died.
Imagine if in the 80s, when HIV and AIDS were being discovered, we had decided "Meh, we must live our lives!" and started a worldwide campaign for unprotected casual sex. That's what we've done with COVID, sans the taboo, since it's breathing, not sex. But the damage is similar.

Approximately 40% of autistic people are unemployed. They’re every bit as worthy as the 60% who are working. Perpetuating the idea that a person’s value is determined by their ability to work harms all disabled people. Harms everyone, actually.
This is my 31 autistic son Kelsey. He’s kinder than any republican. He works every day. Pays taxes. Spends hours a day learning. Helps others. And is way smarter than RFK will ever be.

@glusong All the people saying “we gotta get him to a show!” really don’t get it. He wouldn’t be safe at one.

I’m people and I don’t eat in restaurants because of COVID. I’m very far from alone in this. It’s called being an informed, responsible adult. Yeah, we’re rare, but that’s nothing new.
@ApricotTreeCaf1 People are eating out less because it's too expensive. It has nothing to do with covid flu infections.

People said this exact same thing to AIDS activists. They were wrong then, too. If we don’t act up, we will continue to be ignored. It’s been over 4 years now. It’s time to start making people uncomfortable with their genocidal choices.
Hot take but telling non-maskers that they’re murderers is not a great way to get to know the general public.

So @jk_rowling is so abusive and homophobic that even after people block her, she continues to target them.

The covid to long covid to homelessness pipeline is very real. Millions of Americans have been disabled by this virus. Millions more will be disabled by it every year until we stop ignoring it.
BREAKING: The U.S. saw an 18.1% increase in homelessness this year, with more than 770,000 people counted as homeless.

FYI, getting COVID doesn’t give you immunity to COVID. And with every infection, your chance of developing long COVID increases. Of course your employer and your corrupt state don’t want you knowing how serious this is. Disabled people are not and have never been your enemy.
@ryan_zickgraf I made fun of these ppl too til I got what I thought was a cold, and then somehow just didn’t get better. Somehow got worse and worse over the next few months. Made no sense 🤷♂️ Unvaxxed, assumed I had immunity after having it 3-4x by way of going to work. LC was not on my radar.

Spent a good chunk of my 20s being ridiculed for trying to reduce my kid’s exposure to plastics. Now I’m spending my 40s being ridiculed for trying to reduce my exposure to COVID. None of it has been fun, not even the being right part.
Microplastics have been found just about everywhere scientists have looked. Now scientists are trying to determine their effects on your health.

@JesseBrown You’re a racist liar. People wore blue to represent the water. Using and vilifying Indigenous people like this is fucking low.

@MontagueTerrie Pride is a protest. It’s not meant to be family friendly. That said, I’ve seen more nudity than that on daytime television.

1000 Americans were killed by COVID last week. So funny.
Jamie Lee Curtis: "And the Actor goes to. the man who gave me covid at the Golden Globes: Colin Farrell". Colin: "Guilty as charged. But Brendan Gleeson fucking gave it to me! So I was just spreading the love". #SAGAwards

It’s almost like we’re in a pandemic and people are repeatedly contracting a virus that is known to cause Bell’s palsy.
ER doc here. This looks like Bell’s palsy where the facial nerve becomes paralyzed. It is often idiopathic but can be caused by viruses. It’s relatively common. It is NOT caused by the content of his music, “drug use”, or because he is gay.

A STI that is also airborne and that can disable you more quickly than HIV can. Tens of millions killed in the last 5 years. Hundreds of millions disabled. And most of us are gonna keep pretending it’s just a cold. Needlessly doomed civilization.
New research shows SARS-CoV-2 infection particles can persist in semen for up to 8 months after infection, raising critical questions about viral reservoirs and potential sexual transmission. The virus remained detectable in over half the study participants and was confirmed as

And unlike most people, Farrell had millions of dollars and access to the best health care providers in the world. Once he realized that pushing himself was only going to make him more sick, he was able to stop working and just rest. Most of us cannot do that. Prevention is key.
Colin Farrell realized too late that exercise is bad for you if you've recently had COVID: "I went out about a week after testing negative and I started running again and I messed myself up and got the long COVID for about six months."

Working out while recovering from COVID can increase your chance of developing long COVID. Rest is key. It’s criminal that we’re over 5 years into this pandemic and this isn’t common knowledge.
About a month ago, I got dizzy and blacked out briefly during hot yoga class. As a regular exerciser, it was atypical for me, but I figured since I’d had Covid the week prior and the room was hot, my body just needed more recovery . Over the next few weeks, I continued to

FYI, executive dysfunction isn’t about avoiding discomfort. It usually causes discomfort.
adhd treatment is mostly emotional, not skills based, and that's where folks get caught up. yes you have free will but if you're constantly avoiding discomfort then no solution a therapist provides will actually help.
