As a PM, you will be carrying on simultaneous conversations with developers, designers, other PMs, data analysts, QA engineers, marketing, sales, customer support, senior executives, AND your users. Listenging and Empathising with each one of them. A typical "day in the life".

@vadakkus The complexity of building a high-speed rail line is much greater than building a highway. And the current ecosystem of personal vehicle ownership and commercial logistics is functioning quite efficiently with this ancient technology. Of course, efficiency could be way better.

@TailosiveTech We did go back to its roots with the 12, but market needs have changed. Bigger screens and batteries are a necessity. The 12 mini was as close to this design as we would ever get. Hopefully, the technology will advance enough to go back to invisible no-bump cameras one day.

Prototypes are different from mockups. They don’t focus on the solution, but on understanding the problem. The prototype is the instrument used to uncover previously hidden constraints and to see the shifts in the outcome of the design. - @jmspool

Great PMs are like great Movie Directors. They do not create great products by themselves. They deliver it by executing a vision, which involves defining, prioritizing, iterating, and leading the team to deliver what customers love.

One of the main reasons a company hires a PM in the first place is to say NO to people. This involves going through thousands of requests, user feedback and executive mandates to find the real, important, and strategically aligned problems that your team should be solving.

Being a PM is like being an API for people. You have to learn the API structure, extract the information that you need, and send it back out to other humans over their own APIs so it’s useful for them.
