White the ‘returns’ side equation is accurate, it needs to be balanced with the cost side equation too. Cost of learning by making mistakes or doing vs cost of learning by theory :).
What, if anything, can one learn or conclude from this observation? (you can assume that the diagram is indeed true for a majority of people).

1 is largely information/ data + intelligence.2 is largely insights + intelligence.3 is hypotheses. While one goes wrong in 1 and 2 every so often, I’ve seen most product builders go wrong in #3 which stems from creativity and taste.
- Am I targeting the right customers?.- Do I understand how their minds work?.- How can I change their minds about my product?. You say you spend a lot of time with customers. Why isn’t your product winning then?. A video with the core truth of marketing:.

I’ve used AI extensively to teach my kids through last year. Can’t imagine now what it’s like to learn or teach without AI - which indeed is a top tier tutor if used properly. What to teach your kids that prepares them for the future though, is getting harder by the day.
Now every child, no matter where they are, can have access to a top-tier tutor for every subject. The compounding benefits from this alone will be felt decades into the future.

So, the cat and mouse game begins!.
3 months ago, @im_roy_lee dropped out of Columbia to build Cluely. This weekend @AntonioSitongLi and I (students at Columbia) built Truely — the Anti-Cluely:. An open-source tool that monitors your calls to see if you’re talking to a real person.

Somehow reminded me of the old VI vs eMacs joke:. Vi User:.Still using Emacs?. Emacs User:.Yeah. I read mail, browse the web, write code, even play Tetris in it. Vi User:.Damn. Emacs really is a great operating system….Too bad it doesn’t come with a text editor.

Banks and CCs trying to do travel rewards . Travel companies trying to win customers by CC cashbacks. Commerce companies trying to wrap travel rewards partnering with a CC. And pure rewards companies that are pure junk. Who has the real right to win here? 😮💨.
the whole credit card meta became a kafkaesque coupon site for rich people trying to feel clever. high annual fee, dining credits you forget to use, travel portals worse than expedia, random luxe perks you didn’t ask for. all wrapped in a UX that’s pure trash. you basically.

So I lost a couple of items during security while boarding a red eye flight last week at Bangalore T1. And what followed was insanely stress free and traveler friendly!. Just a mail to lostandfound@bialairport.com and a very simple automated process for claim verification.

A very interesting consumer insight from a question that we ask for the Secret Soirée- “Share a non obvious / counterintuitive insight from your product journey or industry”
AI is rewriting the product playbook — but not everyone’s in the same room. We’re bringing together a curated group of the best product builders pushing what’s possible with AI. No panels. No fluff. Just sharp minds, real deep talk, and maybe a cofounder (if you’re looking for.
