Absolutely brilliant to open the Royal Docks Corridor this morning. The GLA & Newham teams have transformed this dangerous industrial road into a wonderful new public space - complete with a fab cycle lane, crossings, new lighting, beautiful planting and flood resilience.
What a transformation on the #RoyalDocksCorridor! A 4-lane racetrack for cars becomes a street for everyone—celebration today with project managers, builders, councillors, Mayor @rokhsanafiaz, and @willnorman. Congratulations to all at @NewhamLondon for an amazing achievement! 🎉

Increasing cycle journeys creates more space for essential car journeys. The @MayorofLondon must urgently build safer, separated infrastructure. Given the option, this is the future for many commuters in cities

This photo shows 58 cyclists and just two cars. MPs looking out of their window today will see a steady flow of people cycling, some for the first time in a while, given confidence to do so with quality infrastructure. Just over 10 years ago there wasn’t even a cycle lane here.

A @limebike was seen on the pavement yesterday. In other news, a driver drove over the pavement on Adys Rd, mounting a bell bollard to stop drivers going on the pavement and flipping their car over.
