It's not just about graduation. Ru was a sabbatical officer who had to fight to have the election results party changed to an accesible venue & then couldn't even access her own SU office for her entire electoral term because it was upstairs & there was no way for her to get up.
just found out i am unable to access my own graduation this summer because the access needs of myself and many other Disabled students are ‘not viable’ due to ‘time constraints and cost’.
devastated doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Sex workers can't be collateral damage or harm prevention measures in pursuit of keeping other women safe. Sex workers face higher levels of violence already. Don't send alleged violent men to sex workers.
One point that might be worth making- Brand is a rich man. If he just wants to have a lot of sex with different women he can hire sex workers and do that.
The thing that screams out at me is the coercion is part of what he gets off on.

Fun fact: leaving a class/meeting room to go to the toilet for five minutes when you don't need to go to the toilet - during a long class/meeting - is a way neurodivergent people deal with sensory overwhelm or information overload and it's just as valid as peeing.
Most ppl seem to believe that when students ask to go to the toilet in a lesson they actually want to go to the toilet and not just have an extra break - come on ppl! Obv there are exceptions to this rule but in my 15 years experience, 50%+ just want to get out of lesson time.

My best mate at uni killed himself. He was on the picket line in solidarity with staff every single strike through our time at uni Outrageous inference that staff - who many of whom will have poor MH due to bad working conditions - are to blame for student suicide.
On LBC this morning I set out the case for our striking members
I was met with Nick Ferrari attempting to use the tragic death of a student against university staff
This is disgusting, morally reprehensible, and completely irresponsible

3 yrs ago I adopted a cat so unmanageable he'd been returned 3 times! It took 6 months to come out from under the sofa, a year to be stroked, 2 to be picked up (albeit briefly) 2.5 to sit on my lap(albeit briefly). This morning he joined me in bed. We all just need love & time ❤️
