Always hear judges say that non celebrities need to be made examples of to give the signal to society to not commit crime. Surely that means celebrities should have the book thrown at them as even more people will notice that signal.

You're talking well outside of any expertise you might have. I've read your replies and I don't think for a lot of it, you have any real idea what you're talking about.
@NostroEth @purplepingers Except we get more money from immigratiin then we spend 🤦♀️

Relating to Dutton's share purchases, we all bought shares on that day after Well's Fargo announced a surprising profit that quarter. There wasn't a bailout from Labor that day for our domestic banks. I bought a lot that day across thr banks, tech and other sectors.
The #ABCInsiders panel Shalailah Medhora, Michael Stutchbury and Clare Armstrong discuss Peter Dutton’s share purchases during the GFC. #auspol

Does this mean an apple cost 10 times more to Australians compared to Americans given they are the same price? What kind of analysis is this?

I'm blocked by @thekouk so I have to quote tweet but his motivations are more political in the debate surrounding economic levers. He's been on a relentless attack for a cut to rates.
@TheKouk This cut feels more like the day Barry Breen snapped from the pack to score a point and a premiership for St Kilda. I wish we could see how the vote on the board went. Did Bullock even back it?

Labor basically kicked Payman out of the party over a vote on a single motion. Why and what are you talking about? Penny Wong had to vote against SSM because she would have been kicked out over nothing.
While everyone else is focused on the brave work of firefighters, the Victorian Liberals are squabbling over how far they should jump to the right. Sometimes leadership is about putting petty differences aside to focus on the big picture. #auspol

If the PRRT ensures that Australia gets a fair share of tax and is designed that way, then ipso facto, gas companies not paying any tax on LNG yet should be considered the fair outcome surely.
Australia has a tax designed to ensure Australians get a fair share for our gas – the PRRT. But NONE of the foreign-owned gas corps who export 80% of Aust’s gas every year have EVER paid it. Let's change that. 🖊️Add your name: https://t.co/YHs5ahhJr1

Another Labor goon trying to creates narratives. He wants the ALP to take in kore tax revenue. Demonising our low debt levels to perpetuate the terrible idea that Howard propagated after effextivelg paying off our debt.
Congratulations John Howard and Peter Costello You have maintained your record as the highest taxing Government in Australian history And congratulation Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg For keeping your recordas having the highest gross and net debt #MYEFO

Only for those who aren't living week to week and getting govt subsidies to boot. Same with electric hot water pumps, expensive and can get a subsidy. Only for richer people.
4 million Australian homes already save $1300/yr from rooftop solar. For a fraction of the cost of Peter Dutton’s nuclear plan, the government could fund solar and a battery for every other Australian home. Nuclear’s just too expensive.

Banning face masks so that the govt can pepper spray you? What are they thinking? There is no expectation of privacy in public but that doesn't mean someone can't try to be anonymous when not breaking the law. Not illegal to protest outside a place of worship on public land
#BREAKING 🚨 Vic premier Jacinta Allan has announced a range of legislative proposals as part of an effort to ‘thwart’ protests outside of places of worship It includes banning face masks which ‘conceal identities and shield from capsicum spray’ and the use of glue and locks

Anyone claiming there are simple solutions to a very complex issue are usually political lobbyists. They aren't serious people to be a factor in the discussion.
The solutions to Australia’s housing affordability crisis are simple: increase supply and lower demand by ending the incentives that treat housing as an investment vehicle rather than someone’s home. If only we had a government brave enough to enact them.

I don't understand how anyone can be certain of this. Cost is not the only issue that we should be considering on whether we should invest in it.
No way around it. Nuclear IS ridiculously expensive. https://t.co/vk7oFJfxgr

Another one of Labor's goons trying to pin everything on the RBA. @thekouk @DrCraigEmerson and others really trying to create narratives in the lead up to next year's election
The welcome fall in unemployment is a sure fire sign that the economy is struggling to address supply side driven inflation The RBA needs to look at all the factors behind a tanking economy and rethink jobs as an indicator.

House prices staying flat is unacceptable to Australian Govt on both sides of the aisle @TMFScottP worth a quick listen to this idiotic notion that house prices must grow
Huge mask off moment here for Labor. They want prices to continue to go up and get more unaffordable. Lost me as a voter @MChandlerMather @AvidCommentator @TMFScottP @rationalaussie

I see so many negative comments to her tweet. I'm a big fan of investing in culture here in Australia and don't know why you wouldn't support the growth of it.
Some incredible news for Sydney theatre lovers today. We’ve invested almost $5 million to save the beloved Griffin’s Stables Theatre. The rebuild will be a game-changer for this fantastic venue that’s launched the careers of so many Australian artists.

God no! This guy was a dropkick and a half. Hopefully his God listens and tells him not to ever re-enter Australian politics.
