Caribou had 3 straight 80+ days with 81°F, 83°F, 81°F. Previously, there had only been one 80+ day on record in the whole month of October, and we just got 3 in a row! We also beat the monthly record with 83°F Monday. Records began in 1939. #MEwx

Houlton (84) and Caribou (83) both recorded their warmest October temperature on record today. Millinocket (85) and Bangor (84) both set daily records, but not monthly records. Records at these sites go back further and include warmer October days in 1909, 1930, and 1938.

Imelda and Humberto are churning only about 580 miles from each other tonight. Only 9 other named storms have ever come as close or closer in the Atlantic in the satellite era (since 1966). The last occurrence was Philippe and Rina around this time in 2023. cc @KathrynProciv
