Just commuted to work, it was a bit warm so have dumped the jacket and tie... The earth didn’t swallow me up, I didn’t burst into flames and I didn’t have to step over piles of the elderly to make the train… nice day for an outdoor pint, though. Commute totally dead, again.

Joined a lorryload of other fit and healthy people pouring into the tubes on the dot of 10pm tonight. First time I’ve seen crowds like that at any time of day for months... and I’m never out of central London bars and restaurants. Created a new problem that wasn’t there before.

Last night my car was stolen off the driveway in South London around midnight. CCTV clearly shows two lads jump out of another car in masks having managed to open my car with some sort of keyless device as they passed by. Drove off in it within about 10 seconds…

Have landed my first ever speeding ticket for doing 64mph on a motorway, because supposedly “smart” motorways can change their speed limits whenever they fancy. Allegedly it was 50 at the time 🤷‍♂️. The sooner that whole project is scrapped, the better. Utter nonsense.

14 years ago today my mum died, aged 51. We ate takeaway pizza at the end of her bed in a hospice room. If I reach the same age as she did, I’ve got about 14 years left. I’ve fucked up quite a lot of things, but with that in mind, I really hope the next 14 years are well lived.
