Great thread. Definitely worth reading.
The root cause of 'poorer' schools - i.e. pupils not performing as well - is poverty. Pupils & schools in disadvantaged areas do less 'well' - in league tables - & receive poorer Ofsted grades as a result, is because they have less wealthy families. Shown beyond doubt here:.
