@IRHotTakes Because misery hates happiness. Especially other people's happiness. That's the worst.

Depends on the parents. Jewish parents push Hebrew School. Asian parents push math skills. Black/White parents push sports. Hispanic parents push life skills. But all the parents I know push their kids todo one thing extra, and to do that one extra thing extremely well.
One of the biggest gaps between parents I interact with online and parents I know IRL is that Internet People seem really interested in their kids getting a rigorous accelerated education in a way that almost nobody I know personally does.

Itโs the most wonderful time of the year. 3/4 brackets are funny bad. But the Nazi Grok Era was just bad-bad. How can you take something so smart and make it dumb af?
It's been a long year - but it's finally time. Welcome to the Worst Tweets of 2025 Bracket! I've spent the entire year collecting hundreds of the most deranged posts on this website. Only 64 were chosen. Now it's time to crown a champion.

> There no question of "which is it", blood or culture - the two are inseparable This is obviously false on its face. Rome adopted Greek culture, no blood involved. English language worldwide. Islam, Confucianism, Chinese Marxist. Culture crosses genetic boundaries with ease.
Culture alters sexual decisions - the pool of partners, & what they look for So culture is written into the flesh thru marriage, whereupon the flesh reproduces the culture naturally, unconsciously There no question of "which is it", blood or culture - the two are inseparable

I think this right, but itโs also the system promptโs fault. Itโs still too sycophantic. Gemini the smartest is often the worst on that count. It code-mode itโs over eager. In text-mode you need to be adversarial or you get โFrench fry salad is a brilliant idea!โ
Just too smart for 98% of the population. This explains why most people don't really know how to use AI!

New Jersey exists in a quantum superposition: Either it has the best of Manhattan and LA, or it has the worst of both. Which reality you experience depends entirely on whether you're driving or walking. I finally chose to walk New Jersey, after 40 years of driving through it.

Tech has been blessed by weak enemy leaders. Pillories of Taylor are layups for a PR people. Doctorow is a great writer, but often factually wrong. Eurocrats donโt understand what they are regulating, so they do it badly.

If you haven't yet read @Scholars_Stage's wounding review of Alexander Karp's book, and what it would really take to create a techno-nationalist business elite worth of the title in America, do it now. It is one of the best things I've read this year. https://t.co/JXMd0kXNjN

โYou canโt leave plutonium by a glacier feeding into the Ganges! Do you know how many people depend on the Ganges?โ โ Jim McCarthy, the last surviving American climber on the mission gift article:

A plutonium-packed generator disappeared on one of the worldโs highest mountains in a covert mission that the U.S. will not talk about.
