Mamdani conceding on "intifada" to defer to fabricated perceptions does not speak highly of his ability to weather future times where he will need to be uncompromising. If you're going to be a tribune of the socialist left, you need to not be moved, even if that's uncomfortable.

This was the amendment. Israel is demanding this funding to continue its war against Iran and Yemen. They strike these countries knowing they'll have US money and weapons. AOC did not join her colleagues in voting for the amendment. 6-422 for more war.

I should add that American food—to the extent that such a thing exists—in urban areas is still weak as hell. Not even a top 100 global cuisine. People with a tiny fraction of the average American’s wealth make food everyday that blows our best shit out of the water.

The food in rural America is god awful. There’s no real cuisine to speak of, just a handful of terrible dishes made out of habit. The sign of a truly impoverished civilization imo.
As someone who is from a culture where people dont like food i see the memes like “every culture likes food” and its like… i can tell youre not from rural small town america.
