Thank you @LouHaigh for making this vital point. Five people are killed on our roads every single day, on average. We would not tolerate this level of harm in any other aspect of our lives

For National Engineering Day, I wanted to celebrate the contributions of Grace Hopper. An amazing Engineer and Computer Scientist who was instrumental in the development of high-level programming models. #NationalEngineeringDay #EngineeringRoleModels @RAEngNews

1/2 Many quote the Ely Report 1969 (including myself but lit review now updated!) as one of the seminal healthcare inquiries. Much searching and help of British library has got this one out. Discussion of Maternity Inquiries in Glasgow 1932!

I know it well! Great building - Gibberd left behind so many good buildings in my home town Harlow - check out the train station - shades of Frank Lloyd Wright

This was the first residential tower block to be built in Britain. 🏢 Situated in Harlow, Essex, 'The Lawn' was part of master planner Frederick Gibberd’s scheme to house 60,000 people in the New Town. The block even received a Ministry of Health Housing medal in 1952.
