That's a wrap. Fabulous week in Phoenix @ASUGlobalFuture to share best practices, local challenges, community efforts, & #collaborative research on all things #heat, #health, & #adaptation. Temps were high, goals were set, and fun was had by all. Thanks to @HeatReadyPHX + others!

Great to share low-cost and sustainable alternatives to air-conditioning with primary school children (aged 7 to 11) from across NSW today! The ice towels were a fan favourite, closely followed by self-dousing! Always a pleasure disseminating the work of @HeatHealth_USYD.

The limits of human survival in extreme heat are surprisingly poorly understood. Researchers are using state-of-the-art climate chambers to understand when blistering conditions threaten life.

When dangerous heat waves strike, what happens inside the human body can become a life-or-death battle decided by just a few degrees.
