I graduated from a rural school. We were "hillbillies" too. I received a great education, which I would not have done under "school choice". For many (I would say most) of us poor country kids, "school choice" would have meant no school at all.

I've been checking this out...it was at David Barton's Wallbuilders "museum" in Texas. Scholars of history and law have described Barton's research as highly flawed, "pseudoscholarship" and spreading "outright falsehoods". Bet the chair really wasn't FDR's--just another lie.
