And the most sympathetic guy they could find for this story was deported three times, had several DUIs, and on his last stint he purchased a fake identity and proceeded to kill someone with his car. Swell guy.

Everyone thinks they’re immune from this until they’re not.
The illegal migrant in this story killed somebody in a car crash, and still didn't give his real name. He tried to let the guy whose id he stole take the blame for it. The poor guy got sued.

I wonder how life would be if everything you did followed a pay-to-do-anything DLC type model. Rent? How about paying daily for rent? Utilities? Taxes? Come on why not do it for all the things?
i wonder how much of Americans' views on driving vs. transit would change if they had to pay for gas/insurance/etc every time they turned on the engine "i'm not paying $5 to take the train to work twice a day when i can just drive" is a genuine opinion held by so many people
