Hitting people saving for their pensions at a time when we’ll have to work longer knowing we’ll get less from the state is a special kind of stupid.

I again spoke out against the Chagos Islands “deal”. It betrays British Chagossians & risks one of the world’s most pristine marine environments. Labour’s forcing this through, handing £35bn of taxpayers’ money to Mauritius with no guarantees on protection or rights. @CEN_HQ

That long hyphen screams #ChatGPT produced post. Isn’t she supposed to be the Education Secretary? And yet can’t be bothered to construct & write her own posts. This lot are a joke. Totally ashamed of this govt
with this just a small example of the laziness & contempt they embody

Recognising the State of Palestine rights a historic wrong. The mass starvation and killing of civilians in Gaza is morally reprehensible — we must see an immediate ceasefire, a surge in aid and the release of all hostages to begin building a lasting peace.

Since I took this photo at the unite the kingdom march yesterday, it’s taken on a bit of a life of its own. Many large accounts just stole it and used without credit which is always a terrible thing to do. A credit costs nothing and makes a big difference to me as a photographer.

“Perhaps the more imminent danger facing Britain is that there could be a lot more ‘reckless’ coming around the corner.” Labour’s honeymoon ended with Rachel Reeves’s last “car crash” budget and businesses don't trust her anymore, says Times Radio’s @afneil. #TimesRadio

A huge welcome to Dame Angela Eagle as the new Food Security Minister — who after a quick search of hansard has mentioned “Farming” a whopping THREE times in Parliament since being elected in 1992 Great to have another outspoken voice for farmers in DEFRA đŸ’Ș

This is a truly appalling decision. We are undoing a legacy of rapidly improving standards, educational outcomes and social mobility - all so that @bphillipsonMP can enact merely indulge the ideological debates of yesteryear. Worst cabinet minister by a country mile.

In January this year, the Environment Agency fined a man £250 for fishing without a licence They said: “we prosecute, always” Just not when it’s the foreign secretary. May seem minor, but it smacks of yet more two tier justice.

🎣 EXCL: Lammy off the hook! The Foreign Secretary has avoided prosecution for fishing illegally with JD Vance. The Environment Agency has instead sent him a mere warning letter. Foreign Office says this "draws a line" under Troutgate. https://t.co/RPQFvqqG2P

Incredibly dodgy use of “neglect” here, Steve. The programme you are celebrating was launched & funded by the Conservatives during @theresecoffey’s time at DEFRA. If nature is returning to Britain
you can thank the Tories for that.

This has been UK law for almost two decades. Yet implementing it has always been stymied by hordes of highly-paid, Labour-supporting lawyers and judges (many friends of SurKeir and you) who’ve grown rich from the human-rights business. What’s going to change?

Labour backed raising the age of consent from 16 to 18 for getting a tattoo, buying alcohol, watching porn, opening a bank account, purchasing cigarettes, using a sunbed or being tried as an adult. Now they tell us they are acting from principle.
