Yes it was a lie. These guys have no real defense of it. And let’s not forget the claim: not just that Haitian immigrants in Springfield *ate* cats, they were also—so these idiots insisted—*stealing pets* in order to eat them!
It was not a lie. And the fact that you’re upset about this but not about tens of thousands of Haitians being airdropped into a struggling white working class town…does not speak well of you.

They admit they lied. They think it was ok to lie to bring attention to an issue they care about. They falsely accused a whole group of people or barbarous acts just because it was politically useful. This is absolutely reprehensible. THIS is barbarous behavior.
I will never forget the "Haitians eating cats" lie. I will never let it go. It was so deliberate and monstrous and unprovoked and cruel, and no one has ever apologized for it.
