Ontario MPPs Dr. Adil Shamji, Dr. Robin Lennox and nurse Tyler Watt are standing up for Ontario patients. We need these kind of dedicated professionals to replace the Ford administration in government. @ShamjiAdil @RobinLennox @tylerwatt90 https://t.co/8MKUMltRTb

Seeing some very similar signs to the 1968 flu pandemic. We may see more than one wave and this variant of H3N2 seems to have a very long tail. Wear a N95 or better when in public spaces. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Breaking: Spain brings masks back. Mandatory in hospitals, primary care, and long-term care—for patients, visitors, and staff. Strong recommendation everywhere else. Public health moving where evidence points. Note: Really worth upgrading to respirators. https://t.co/vzNFmJ139n

COVID-19 causes systemic, lasting damage unlike the flu—affecting the brain, immune system, and organs. Repeated infections and Long COVID pose cumulative risks, demanding recognition beyond outdated flu comparisons. https://t.co/TnZzDUDLQP

I really value my ability to see so that's one of many reasons why I will continue to wear a respirator. COVID causes Alzheimer's-like plaque in the eyes and brain.😳 The general public is not taking COVID seriously enough for me.

Wow. That money could have paid for over 2,000 educational assistants to work with our most vulnerable students in #OntEd, keeping students and staff safe and helping all students to access learning. It could have paid for over 500,000 student Chromebooks.

#BREAKING: Today's report from the Auditor General revealed that Doug Ford spent over a HUNDRED MILLION in public dollars - $111.7M to be exact - on government ads between April 2024 and March 2025 to help get himself re-elected. Another shocking misuse of taxpayer dollars.

This is why we immunize preteen boys with the HPV vaccine reducing their risk for cancer later. It was not available for Mr Coulier in his youth. Wishing him well during his recovery.

Very important study and more evidence that #NeuroCovid can contribute to neurodegeneration and cognitive impairment. When they say 'it's all in your head', they might be trying to be dismissive, but are accidentally being very realistic. https://t.co/pdDaMlBQce #LongCovid

Eye problems are one of the most common after-effects of covid infections, and one of the most common issues of Long Covid - but they're not talked about much. This is part two of my thread working through eye conditions that have become *much more common* since Covid struck.

Two men died at the ATP Finals. In a COVID-aware world, we notice patterns. In a denialist one, we explain them away. If every player collapsed at once, we’d call it a catastrophe. But when it happens quietly, one by one, event after event, we call it a sad coincidence.

Tragedy at the ATP Finals! Two men died in two separate incidents that occurred within a short time of each other. The victims were 70 & 78 years old. The first man felt unwell in the morning in front of the Fan Village the second during the match Musetti - Fritz.

A new study in The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health followed nearly 14 million children in England. It shows that SARS-CoV-2 infection leaves long-term marks on the vascular and immune system - even in kids. Not just for weeks, but measurable up to a year later🧵

In case you were wondering how Trump’s draconian policies are impacting Canadians, nursing students couldn’t access some U.S. library databases to inform their work. Canada’s nursing education relies heavily on American databases. A wake-up call to defend Canadian research access

When asked by Stephen Colbert why he was wearing a mask in public, Tom Hanks said.. “I’ve had Covid enough in my life I don’t need to do that again. I’m wearing this for health reasons” More celebrities need to speak out like this.

@SolidEvidence I discussed the 3 major difference between RNA and Novavax vaccines in this lengthy thread with references, as you asked for. The 3: 1. CTLs with RNA: essentially a non-issue 2. Higher peak Abs with RNA: transient benefit 3. More AEs and IgG4 with RNA https://t.co/6OZYG0N6BL

The main differences between protein and RNA vax in practice are threefold: 1. Cellular immunity, meaning CD8 cytotoxic T cell responses: RNA vax elicit this, whereas Novavax CTL responses are minimal.
