Super grateful for Matt having me on the podcast! I knew within 5 minutes of watching his episode with @coachbdixon that we cook the same way. - There's a better way of doing things. - There's a giant gap in the mental gap at the youth level. - The way to fill that gap isn't
Unlock your mental edge! 🧠✨ In Episode 111 of the Mental Mettle Podcast, Coach Matt Thomann sits down with mindset @NDominator coach Brandon Beery to reveal the secrets behind mastering the mental game. From elite focus strategies to real-world stories of resilience, this

Here's the Big 3 excuses I hear from high school coaches as to why they don't learn AI. #1. "I don't have enough time." You could learn one thing about AI in 15 minutes that saves you hours of work a week. (Data entry, hundreds of texts and email reminders, paper work are all
"Great coaches can't be replaced by clankers." 100% agree. It's also a banger quote. But AI can help coaches be more aware. Data doesn't make decisions for you, it informs you of options. AI doesn't make decisions for you, it shows you options or reveals things you haven't

Every coach feels the pull to “start planning next year.” But before I do, I run a 3-Column Review. KEEP / LOSE IT / EXPERIMENT 👉 KEEP what’s working — and sharpen it. That might be your midweek workout structure, your pre-meet routine, or a culture ritual that keeps your team

Did you catch that? It's not just a physical warmup. You need a mental warmup too. Unique and just for you.
The warm up is a place where you prepare the mind and body for what is next. Use the same warm up every time. It helps reduce anxiety and lets your body know a physical demand is on the way.

AI doesn’t replace people. It replaces inefficiency. When your team stops doing repetitive work, they start doing meaningful work. Automation isn’t about cutting headcount, it’s about unlocking potential.

Learning is part of the building process and you can always get help independently. Before if you were coding a project like this, you'd run into a road block and run to Stackoverflow, Google, and YouTube tutorials. You might waste an hour chasing your tail in the wrong
AI is all about "knowing what you don't know" Here's an interactive exploration of the Andromeda: - React Three Fiber + Three.js - 600k particles (my m4 gets rly hot) - GSAP for smooth camera animations - Bloom post-processing for realistic stellar glow The more impressive

Call me old fashioned, but I don't believe AI is the future of coaching. This is a relationship-based profession, and an athlete's performance is often impacted more by the connection with their coach than by what the workout says. Great coaches can't be replaced by clankers.

If you're a high school coach of a fall sport and your season is over. It's audit season. Take the time to reflect, ask good questions, and move forward. If you don't know where to start use this prompt to get your brain thinking. https://t.co/vWNKbMeJBC
Many fall sports are finished or deep in the post season. This is the beginning of audit season. Audit season is the time between seasons where you can reflect on what the heck just happened. The simplest way to do an audit is to sit down and ask yourself some questions. -

Audits aren't just for the IRS: Coaches should be using audits for their athletes physical and mental progress.

🚨COACHES🚨 If an athlete runs 24 in the 200 and they say their goal is to run 22… Your first thought SHOULD NOT be “we need to do some miles to get there”. Please…

It’s audit season. @NDominator
Every coach loves to say, “Time to start planning for next year.” Slow down, Coach. First, finish this one. Do a debrief. Not a highlight reel. Not a pity party. Just an honest look back. Ask yourself: – What actually worked? – What would I change if I could? – What would I do
