It’s possible there was some behind the scenes choreography. But if there wasn’t, the fact Britain opted for unilateral Palestinian recognition at a time when the negotiations were at such a sensitive stage is even more inexplicable and reckless.
I welcome the news that a deal has been reached on the first stage of President Trump’s peace plan for Gaza.
