Our research focuses on understanding the mechanisms of insulin secretory granule biogenesis, maturation and secretion.

Just woke up to the news that our JBC paper on sorting insulin granules by age made it to the “Best of 2020” list. As the first project we started from scratch and my first successful NHMRC project grant in the Kebede Lab this means a lot to me personally.

These two have saved so many lives through their work on treating melanoma. It is such a bittersweet time for Richard. I hope he knows he has a nation willing him on! Wishing him and Georgina all the best when the PM announces the Australian (or Australians..) of the year .
Inspiring chat on @abcnews Breakfast with MIA Co-Med Directors. @ProfRScolyerMIA candid about emotional festive season as he continues world 1st experimental brain cancer tmt. @ProfGLongMIA raised urgent need to tackle Aus tanning culture to reduce impact of #melanoma.
